This book was an excellent addition to the series! I loved the new heroine Ellie and her relationship with the thinking system Paxe。 The book continues to tell the stories of the thinking systems and stolen Earth girls, but this book has a larger cast of drones which I loved。 The author constantly amazes me with the detail she is able to give the world and the descriptions of the other planets and life forms。 You truly feel like you are right there with Ellie learning about this new environment。 This book was an excellent addition to the series! Man, it was fun to step back into this world! This is an action-packed story involving a prolonged standoff between Grih captain Renn's crew and the Tecrans they've tracked to uncharted territory, with kidnapped human Ellie Masters stuck in the middle。 Diener does a great job of keeping up the tension throughout and the plot never seems to lag。 It also provides a great continuation for the series' overarching Tecran conflict and thinking systems plotline。 I knocked a star off because I generally Man, it was fun to step back into this world! ok This was a little repetitive。 Lots of being fired at and being shocked at the betrayal。 Not as much interaction between the class 5 and the people this time。 It also ended very abruptly。

I love this series so muchThe Class 5 universe is exceptionally well done, and this entry is a great addition to the series。 I'm hopeful that their adventures continue, especially since here we discover other independent intelligences- a strange ship emancipated from a Tecran treasure hoard, as well as a band of helpful sentient drones-- the motley crew charmed me completely and I want more。 I love this series so muchThe Class 5 universe is exceptionally well done, and this entry is a great addition to the series。 I'm hopeful that their adventures continue, especially since here we discover other independent intelligences- a strange ship emancipated from a Tecran treasure hoard, as well as a band of helpful sentient drones-- the motley crew charmed me completely and I want more。 。。。more

Part of a series, this can be read as a stand-alone, but it is even more enjoyable when the books are read in order。 There are lots of surprises, twists, action, aliens, technology, humor, and romance to make this story so awesome! Ellie and Renn are wonderful together。 There are a few really interesting secondary characters that make this story one of my all time favorite books! I love Ms。 Diener’s stories and I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next!

Yay! A new Class 5 book!I’m so glad there’s another book to this fantastic series! And this one doesn’t disappoint。 A savvy heroine, a loyal hero, and a cast of characters that makes you love them。 How does Michelle create so much fondness in me for machines! An exciting, adventurous story and great addition to the series。 5 stars!

SO FREAKING AWESOMEI adore this series。 Although the body count is high, the female humans are so interesting and believable, the worldbuilding is so incredible, and the stories are so intense but often sweet and humorous, that I can't help but love the Class 5s。 The droids are the stars of Dark Class。 And Ellie just plain rocks。 SO FREAKING AWESOMEI adore this series。 Although the body count is high, the female humans are so interesting and believable, the worldbuilding is so incredible, and the stories are so intense but often sweet and humorous, that I can't help but love the Class 5s。 The droids are the stars of Dark Class。 And Ellie just plain rocks。 。。。more

This was my first time reading a Michelle Diener book and I quite enjoyed it。 This romantic space opera novel is the 5th book in the Class 5 series。 I haven't read any of the other books in the series so I can't comment on where this one stands compared to the others but I think readers who followed the series will like how this one builds on previous story arcs that are referenced。 That being said, I didn't find it that hard to follow along and put the pieces together so new readers won't have This was my first time reading a Michelle Diener book and I quite enjoyed it。 This romantic space opera novel is the 5th book in the Class 5 series。 I haven't read any of the other books in the series so I can't comment on where this one stands compared to the others but I think readers who followed the series will like how this one builds on previous story arcs that are referenced。 That being said, I didn't find it that hard to follow along and put the pieces together so new readers won't have too much trouble if they want to start from this book。This book is more plot-driven than character-driven, so there was plenty of action to keep readers entertained。 My one wish is that there had been a bit more steam, but that's a personal preference。Overall, I would definitely like to check out the previous books in this series as well as Michelle's fantasy novels。Thank you to Author Collective 20 (& Eclipse) for sending me this ARC on NetGalley。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Quite an adventure I like this story and look forward to the next very much。 This story is a standalone while also being a continuation of an overall story arc。 And each story and Earth woman was kidnapped by the techron and rescued by an intelligent spaceship。 Each story is different and interesting。 This story has only about 5% romance。 The MC does not seem to the Gris in this story。 Spoiler alert ************Paxe resurfaces and redeems himself。

If you love the Class 5 Series or if you’re new to it, this is a fun space adventure with alien species, discoveries of advanced tech, a light jump space chase, tense stand-offs and a motley crew of quirky drones。Ellie wakes from a coma alone in what is obviously not her home or even her home planet。 She explores an empty outpost station on a remote moon full of collected alien technology with the help of an artificial intelligence called Paxe, and a motley crew of drones。Captain Sorvihn of the If you love the Class 5 Series or if you’re new to it, this is a fun space adventure with alien species, discoveries of advanced tech, a light jump space chase, tense stand-offs and a motley crew of quirky drones。Ellie wakes from a coma alone in what is obviously not her home or even her home planet。 She explores an empty outpost station on a remote moon full of collected alien technology with the help of an artificial intelligence called Paxe, and a motley crew of drones。Captain Sorvihn of the Grih and his crew have been chasing a rogue Tecran warship that was supposed to have surrendered to United Council oversight after their repeated violations of treaties, especially their transgressions against higher sentient life like the women from Earth that they have abducted。 When Sorvihn takes a gamble and follows the Tecran to a part of space they are not supposed to be in, they discover what the Tecran have been hiding out there: contraband technology and another abducted Earth woman。 The Class 5 thinking system was a surprise for everyone。This book has all the elements that make this series a great read: a smart woman from Earth coping the best she can with alien technology and being caught between two alien nations, interesting alien technology, and, my favorite, the motley collection of drones。There’s a lot of tense stand-offs and Ellie gets to be a strong bad-a** several times, showing adaptability and more cleverness in her negotiations than the Grih。 Occasionally the Grih do some blindingly stupid things that up the stakes but it just adds to the action-packed nature of the adventure。 。。。more

I LOVED the class 5 in this book, even more than the previous books, and Ellie was a likeable heroine。 Story: 5 starsRomance: 2 starsChemistry: 2 starsHeat: low。 I would consider this a closed door romance。Honest review in exchange for an ARC from the author。 。。。more

I've received an ARC in exchange of honest review。I was so happy to return into the Class 5 word。 I love all the Michelle Diener books since my 1st introduction into Class 5 world。 It's so hard to fine Sci-Fi Romance that does not revolve around。。。 but actually have a proper plot。 The combination of adventure and romance is amazing and dual POV is one of the best in execution。 The writing style and the way the story goes are easy to read that turn the book into very entertaining page turner。 I've received an ARC in exchange of honest review。I was so happy to return into the Class 5 word。 I love all the Michelle Diener books since my 1st introduction into Class 5 world。 It's so hard to fine Sci-Fi Romance that does not revolve around。。。 but actually have a proper plot。 The combination of adventure and romance is amazing and dual POV is one of the best in execution。 The writing style and the way the story goes are easy to read that turn the book into very entertaining page turner。 。。。more

I received this book as an arc for an honest review from the authors FB group/ email。 I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the series。 The AI’s remain a favorite of mine especially in this book。 This book was never boring or dull。 It was full of action sequences one after the other, found family, building trust, getting revenge, and romance。 The ending left the possibility for more but ended in a satisfying manner。

This has to be the best in the Class Five Series! Michelle Diener spins another page turning, ten star read with her prose。 Once again both human and Grih fight the evil Tecran in this fast paced sci-fi read。 We are happy to find out that Paxe is still alive and causing mischief on an isolated moon that Ellie happens to be imprisoned on。 I love the world building and the introduction of new characters (No spoilers here)。 I’m hoping that Diener finds a way to continue this series with more of her This has to be the best in the Class Five Series!
